Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Opening

BCOTB has been the leading provider of ABA Therapy in the Tampa Bay area since 2003. We are currently seeking an SLP to serve our speech clients. This position will work closely with our ABA Therapy staff at our clinics to best serve our clients with speech therapy alongside their ABA therapy goals. Under general supervision, the SLP is responsible for providing speech and language services to clients which includes: evaluations, planning individual client treatment programs, consultation, treatments and clinic programs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Required number of billable hours per week/month.
  • Evaluate hearing and speech/language test results and medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice and swallowing disorders.
  • Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge of clients. Based on client progress, the SLP will revise the plans of care and goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for speech/language delays such as delayed language, swallowing disorders, apraxia, based on own assessments & recommendations of physicians, the BCBA and other professionals.
  • Consult with and advise BCBA/therapists/parents on speech topics such as communication strategies.
  • The SLP should adhere to the ASHA ethical guidelines, remain in HIPPA compliance.
  • Administrative duties include keeping up with their own schedule on their calendar, making any necessary phone calls to clients and checking their email daily.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (Required)
  • SLP Certificate (Required)
  • Prior experience in speech therapy (Required)
  • Credentialing in the state of Florida with the following insurance companies is preferred, but not required:
